He wants to be like every one else. To do the experiment he has to keep a journal showing his progress. Charlie starts out spell almost every word wrong. Charlies family and friends have all made fun of him his parents gave him to his uncle when he was ten. The experiment starts to work and Charlie gets smarter and he starts realizing new things. Before the doing his imagination and his brain werent working that well. His imagination started to work for the first time when he got this operation. Now that he was smart, he could quit his old commerce of working as a janitor at a bakery and start working for the hospital full time. Charlie soon becomes aware that his smartness may not stay forever, that he might lose his genius. He starts to research the experiment himself. He studies a little mous e named Algernon who they did the experiment on first. Charlie starts to become attached to the little white mouse. Together they are the smartest of their species. When Charlie and Algernon have to go Chicago for an interview, Charlie gets so frustrated at how all the scientists are talking as if in advance the operation Charlie wasnt a real person. In his frustration he accidentally on purpose let Algernon go. The scientists freaked out and started looking for Algernon. They were in a huge building and most of the doors in the room they were in were open. Charlie was the first to find Algernon, and he put Algernon in his pocket and left the building. They went to the airport and flew home, leave the scientists baffled as to where Algernon was.Charlie worked hard trying to discover how long his smartness would last. While studying Algernon, he noticed that he was becoming more approximative and that he would attack Charlie sometimes. Charlie wondered whether this was because of the experiment. Algernon got worse and he refused to do the mazes and to work. After a few weeks Algernon died. Tests showed that Algernons brain had started to shrink, causing him to die.Charlies intelligence started to fall. Slowly he lost it all, from foreign languages to math equations to reading and writing.

We all ingest heard urban legends during our lives, whether it was in a mansion house room, the dinner table, or around the campfire, but rarely do we take the time to fully appreciate the value of the stories. Urban legends have this rare efficiency to make us question reality. We have this feeling in our minds that says Oh, this cannot possible be real, but then our imagination questions that and reels us in and plants a stay doubt. David Emery, a writer and follower of urban folklore, defines urban legends as told to be true, and plausible enough to be believed. Besides this lingering suspense, urban legends and similar folklore often have underlying morals that are hard to uncover, but when they are, the stories become clear. When collecting stories, the best and most unique one was a local story inbred to a town in New York State. I vividly remember how he told the storyThere was this rundown , old split-level on the edge of the town owned and inhabited by a young couple. This young couple did not have much money so they had to rent aside the basement. The tenant that lived in the basement was a short, old man by the name of Louis. Louis lived there for about a year, but he neer came out of the basement. He NEVER answered the door during rent collection but just slid it through the mail slot. After a year, the couple was considering evicting Louis, mostly because they had a fear of Louis and his shady activities in the basement. Also, the couple was due for a baby in the upcoming year and they felt it was best for Louis to go. Louis did not respond well to the eviction however. So, when the couple was alter out the apartment, for another tenant, a skeleton fell out of the closet and landed on the floor with a loud CRASH The couple ran out and called the police. After the whole thing with the police was sorted out, the couple moved out. More families would move in, bu t on the anniversary of the eviction, the Ghost of Louis would appear and shop at the inhabitants of the house, causing them to move out. The cycle continues today, and no one has seen Louis ever again, but rumor is he died after that eviction.
